ABOUT US

Welcome to Phat Daddy’s – a welcoming American-fusion restaurant rooted in West Virginia’s West Side. Founded by the dynamic trio of Cameron Cordon, Octavia Cordon, and their daughter Azelah, Phat Daddy’s is more than a restaurant; it’s a testament to the resilience and flavor of our community. Proudly Black-owned and operated, we’ve been serving up mouthwatering food since 2021.

Originating from New York City, NY, we migrated to West Virginia over two decades ago, embracing the charm of Charleston as our home. As a worker-owned cooperative, we embody the 7th Principle – “Concern for Community.” Our love for the community goes beyond our delectable dishes. We initiated the “Pay it Forward” initiative during the challenging times of COVID, encouraging our supporters to share a meal with those in need. We believe in making a difference, one plate at a time.

Indulge in the tantalizing experience of dining at the best restaurant with outdoor seating near you. Our menu is a symphony of flavors, featuring the finest BBQ meats, including succulent beef brisket, irresistible pulled pork sandwiches, and the juiciest ribs that will leave you craving more. Don’t miss our renowned white cheddar mac ‘n cheese, a culinary delight that captures the essence of comfort, or our New York style chopped cheese sandwich. Or try your hand at making your own bowl with your choice of proteins and toppings!

Experience the flavors of our empanadas, feel the warmth, and support Black women owned businesses near you.
